As Head of Sports, you'll lead the strategic development of El Tony Mate's sports ecosystem across Switzerland and beyond. You'll spot opportunities before anyone else, build meaningful partnerships and create platforms where both athletes and our brand can grow together. Along the way, you'll lead our Sports Team and work closely with our Sports Specialist & Athlete Manager to turn strategy into impact.
What you'll own
Sports Strategy & Development
- Develop and own El Tony Mate's national and international sports strategy.
- Identify emerging sports, communities and growth opportunities.
- Shape our long-term sports roadmap and define strategic priorities.
- Create new platforms, initiatives and formats that strengthen the brand for years to come.
- As part of a small, hands-on team, you'll also roll up your sleeves and bring ideas to life.
Partnerships & Sports Ecosystem
- Build, activate and grow long-term strategic partnerships.
- Expand and nurture our network across the national and international sports industry.
- Identify new opportunities, evaluate their potential and prioritise investments.
- Continuously develop and strengthen our sports ecosystem.
Leadership
- Lead and support our Sports Specialist & Athlete Manager.
- Create an environment that encourages ownership, development and high performance.
- Act as a sparring partner for both strategic and operational topics.
Athlete Framework
- Drive the strategic development of our athlete programme.
Budget & Performance
- Own the strategic planning and allocation of the sports budget.
- Prioritise investments where they create the greatest impact.
- Define KPIs, measure performance and turn insights into better decisions and future projects.
What you bring
- Several years of experience in sports marketing, sports business or partnership management.
- A proven track record of building partnerships, communities, platforms and activations that create lasting impact.
- You think strategically but love getting things done yourself.
- You take ownership, make decisions and move projects forward with energy.
- You know how to lead, inspire and develop people.
- You're deeply connected to the sports world and bring a strong network.
- You have a genuine feel for brands, communities and sports culture—and spot trends before they become mainstream.
- You work in a structured way, stay organised in a fast-moving environment and know how to prioritise.
- You're fluent in both German and English and communicate confidently with a wide range of stakeholders.
Nice to have
- Experience working across international sports markets.
- Experience in FMCG, beverage or consumer brands.
- A network in endurance, outdoor or action sports.
